When I founded Back To Health in 2003, my vision was rooted in providing patients with sustainable, drug-free pathways to recovery. In the early years of clinical practice, I saw firsthand how traditional, generalized manipulation often gave short-term comfort without addressing the structural instability driving chronic pain.
In 2008, a personal health struggle forced me to re-examine my own understanding of spinal mechanics. Experiencing severe neurological fatigue and neck pain that resisted standard therapies, my breakthrough came only after receiving precision upper cervical correction. The profound relief and systemic healing that followed reshaped my clinical philosophy forever.
Today, my practice is committed to comprehensive, whole-spine correction tailored to each individual nervous system. We do not chase symptoms with guesswork; we restore alignment so your body can do what it was designed to do: heal naturally.

Brooke
Brooke holds a degree in Medical Assisting with certifications in X-ray and phlebotomy, and supports patient care through intake and diagnostics. Guided by her Christian faith, she strives to serve every patient with compassion and kindness. Outside the clinic she’s busy with her five kids, hunting, fishing, camping, kayaking, painting and crafts.
Sarah
Sarah finds joy in serving others and supports patients through their therapy treatments, helping them feel comfortable, cared for and confident — always with a smile and a little extra encouragement. Her faith guides every part of her work. Outside the clinic she enjoys life with her husband, their three girls and their 110-pound Great Pyrenees, usually out on the lake kayaking or boating.
JoJo
JoJo joined the military in 2016, earned her nursing degree in 2019 and joined Dr. Bursch’s team in 2024. She scans patients, works the front desk, files PI claims, draws blood, performs shockwave therapy and helps in the therapy room wherever she’s needed. Outside the clinic she loves traveling with her husband, Cole, and their son, Rayne.
Alyssa
New to chiropractic, Alyssa has loved seeing the impact care has on our patients’ lives. She strives to “let all who arrive be received as Christ,” bringing comfort and compassion as she rooms patients and assists with therapies. Outside the clinic she enjoys nature day trips with her husband, singing, playing guitar and reading.
Kim
Kim brings years of medical experience in respiratory therapy, surgery, oncology and medical records, plus a Bachelor’s in Education from her time as a HeadStart teacher and preschool co-director. Her Catholic faith, shared with Jim, her husband of 40 years, is her compass. She has two married sons and two granddaughters, and loves biking, snowshoeing, photography, travel and her goldens, Shiloh and Sawyer.
